Embark on an enchanting 8-day journey that weaves through the Valley of Roses and the timeless Kasbahs of Morocco, an expedition that promises both the thrill of adventure and the allure of ancient civilizations. This meticulously crafted itinerary blends the natural splendor of the Moroccan landscape with the rich tapestry of its cultural heritage, offering an unparalleled exploration of this vibrant corner of North Africa.
Your adventure begins with your arrival in Marrakech, where you are warmly welcomed by a qualified guide and driver, setting the stage for the incredible experiences ahead. The journey from Marrakech takes you over the Tichka pass, the highest road pass in Morocco, where the majestic Atlas Mountains reveal themselves in all their snow-capped glory. The descent on the southern slope towards Ouarzazate is a prelude to the verdant expanses of the Dades Valley, known for its lush fields, abundant water, traditional Kasbahs, and sprawling palm groves.
As you venture deeper into the heart of the Valley of Roses, your days are filled with exploration and discovery. The trek begins with a gentle walk through the fields, ascending the dry, arid plateaus, and winding through the irrigated, fertile valleys adorned with traditional architecture and welcoming local populations. The journey from village to village—across rivers, through oak and juniper forests, and along the shades of red and ocher earth—unveils the rustic beauty and simplicity of Moroccan rural life.
The path leads you at the foot of the M’Goun chain, through the captivating Assif Qati valley, adorned with oleanders, gorges, and refreshing river crossings. The landscape gradually opens up to reveal picturesque villages nestled among gardens, fruit fields, and beautiful adobe houses, climaxing in the enchanting Valley of Roses. Here, amidst the bloom, the trek takes a cultural turn as you explore ancient Kasbahs and the broad riverbeds, immersing yourself in the architectural traditions that speak volumes of the region’s history.
As the journey circles back to Marrakech via Kelaa MGouna and Ouarzazate, the return over the Tichka pass offers a moment of reflection on the extraordinary diversity and beauty experienced over the past week. The final evening in Marrakech provides a tranquil respite before your departure, leaving you with a tapestry of memories woven from the stunning landscapes, the warmth of the Moroccan people, and the ancient stories encapsulated in the stones of its Kasbahs.
This trek is not merely a physical journey but a passage through time, offering insights into a way of life that has endured and thrived amidst the Moroccan landscape. It promises not just vistas and walks but an intimate acquaintance with the heart and soul of Morocco, leaving an indelible mark on your memory.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
