Valleys and mountains of Toubkal

From Imlil to Tizi Oussem, we walk on the ancestral paths of the High Atlas.
An acclimatization hike and preparation for the ascent of Toubkal.
At a height of 4167m, the Toubkal dominates the High Atlas, and all of North Africa! The landscapes crossed are varied according to the slopes and altitudes: sometimes a forest of green oaks sometimes juniper trees, sometimes the freshness of the tumbling water from a waterfall, sometimes the density of a red earth, a mud-clad village hanging on the side of a slope, a sheepfold and in the distance the gigantism of a mythical summit …
Gradually, we are getting closer to Toubkal. From the base camp, 1000 m difference in altitude separates us from the summit. A 4000 without technical difficulty and the promise of beautiful emotions for volunteers. Seen from above, the landscape widens, the eye catches on the massif of Siroua, plunges into the valley of lmlil, is lost in infinity.

Day (s) 01:
Flight to Marrakech. Reception at the airport and installation at the hotel.

Day 02:
Marrakech / Imi Oughlad (1357m) / Tizi N’Tacht (2000m) / Tizi Oussem (1800m)
We start our trek in a forest of holm oaks, then the climb begins with the Tacht pass.

Day 03:
Tizi Oussem / Refuge of Tazaghart (3030 m).
We go back among the juniper trees and pass by the sheepfolds of Tamsoult. We go through
hanging on the north side of the mountain. Every piece of land is cultivated. Through the ighoulidem waterfalls we arrive at the Tazaghart refuge where we spend the night.

Day 04:
Tazaghart Refuge / Tizi Aguelzim (3550 m) / Neltner Refuge (3207 m).
Walking day to reach the Toubkal base camp. We climb to 3550 m to enjoy a superb view of the whole massif and then descend to Toubkal refuge near which we bivouacking.

Day (s) 05:
Early departure for the ascent of Toubkal at 4167 m. It is the highest peak of Morocco and North Africa. It’s also an opportunity for you to make your first 4000 easily. From the summit, one dominates a large part of the Atlas, the plain and the desert are guessed on the horizon. This summit offers us a breathtaking view of the Massif
from Siroua and the valley of Imlil. (Optional Ascension).

Day 06
Refuge Neitner Imlil (1904 m)
Descent to the village of Imlil via the marabout of the valley, Sidi Chamharouch. Arrived at the village, we share our last meal with our team of muleteers. In the afternoon, possibility to go for a walk in the villages
from the valley.

Day 07:
Imlil Marrakech.
In the morning we join Imlil on foot, where we find our vehicles and return to Marrakech. Installation at the hotel,
and possibility to visit the city
