Embarking on a 10-day trek in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco promises an exhilarating adventure filled with cultural immersion and stunning natural beauty. Starting in Marrakech, you’ll travel to Tassa Ouirgane and meet your muleteer team, then trek to the village of Tiziain, passing through scenic valleys and villages. Over the next several days, you’ll traverse mountain passes, such as Taoutie and ZAOUT, and lush valleys, like TFAKLAST, experiencing local Berber hospitality with stays in cottages and homestays. Highlights include reaching the Toubkal summit, North Africa’s highest peak, and enjoying the serene beauty of IFNI Lake. The trek combines challenging climbs, relaxing moments by the lake, and interactions with local communities, making it an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Atlas Mountains. Your adventure concludes with a return to Marrakech, leaving you with lasting memories of the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture of Morocco.

Arrival Marrakech, Overnight at the hotel

Transfer from Marrakech to Tassa Ouirgane, we will join our team of muleteers,

walk to the place of lunch (2 hours walk). We continued climbing in the valley to the village of Tiziain. 2:30 walk: night at the cottage (1600m above sea level).

Departure to the pass of Taoutie (2300m) we cross the juniper forest and the chain

green, lunch in the TKANT river, 4h walk. In the afternoon, we go back

the small pass of 30 min then we go down on the village of AMSLANE (1800m) night

From AMSLANE to the village of Ait AYOUB 6 hours of walk, we climb by the pass from Tizi N’IGUIDI (2200 m), then we cross the mountain AFLANT to arrive at a small descent on the village of Ait AYOUB, night homestay.

Ait AYOUB, we go up the valley of TFAKLAST, 5 hours of walking, the night at bivouac.

We go up the ZAOUT pass at (2700m) beautiful view of the OUAMOUMEN valley and the TOUBKAL too. Descent on the village of OUAOUARG. Night at the inhabitant.

OUAOUARG to the village of amsouzart by the mountain, some small village crossed to get to AMSOUZART (1600m) night at the cottage. 6 hours of walking.

AMSOUZART to go up to the IFNI Lake, 2:30 of walking, lunch, swim, relax the afternoon, a 2 hour climb to AZIB IMI N’OUASSIF (2850m) at the foot of TOUBKAL. Night under tent.

You have the choice to go directly to the summit or by the TIZI OUANOUMSS pass (3700m) descent to Toubkal refuge, lunch, descent to Imlil, night at home.
